Annnnnnnnd the second R is complete!

This one was first covered in hand made abaca paper; the “feathers” are ripped up hand made linen paper, adhered with gel medium (working from the bottom up).

Super delicate, super awesome.  Ugh, I love paper so so much, and I am so glad I found a great use for some of the stack I have.

Also, I’d like to add that I made this while watching/listening to The Life of Birds.  So good.

Hand made Thank You cards!

The paper source(s), the pulp, and the result.  The stamp is hand carved softoluem.  I made over 100 sheets, and printed 75: all as a friend’s wedding present.  Now she can thank people who came to her wedding!
(note: the cards look very dull in the photo, but I promise they’re a lovely pale mint green; a bit lighter than the pulp.)

Hopefully making more this month, to sell and such.  Let me know if you’re interested!

Just gettin’ to know my paper.

FYI this is what 91 sheets of hand made paper looks like.

Paper I made (but did not dye myself) and then tested discharge printing on (similar effect to bleach, but different in chemical composition and long term effects).

Another cut outs square, different shape, different paper (abaca this time).

Yeah, Imma cut you.
