I like to dance.  I like to let music fill my body until it’s so charged I can’t stay still.  I like to be full of joy and love and jump up and down let go of everything.  I like to do it when I’m all on my own and when I’m surrounded by strangers.

And I like to think about the world.  I like to sit quietly and look at everything and breathe deeply.  I like to think about things and nature and time and the future and about me and about you.

The road trip that I just went on felt very summary: so much happened that the trip seemed to summarize my summer, and my life, and my friendships, and how I feel about the world.  Upon reflection, it felt very complete.  I feel as though there is nothing more I could ask for; nothing more that could make this summer even better.  And yet- it’s not over yet.  I still have things to come.

I just submitted my application for the summer residency program at Harbourfront Centre.

In a word: eep.

Due to my classes this semester, Mondays have become days of horror for me that I dread.

This song is how I’m getting through today.

This song reminds me of summer: of freedom, and heat, and friends.  Of one magical night in particular, spent with some of my favourite people: Sean and Matt and Rob and Julia.

We dressed like they did in the music video: like we were children playing dress-up, inventing our world and our rules as we saw fit.  Full of life and love and joy, and this is how we chose to exist.

This is how I choose to exist.
