A Transformer-Robot-Dinosaur who makes art.

I'm a designer and maker in Toronto, Canada.

I make things! All kinds of things! Lately, lots of bow ties and monsters. This is a process blog/art journal of things I make, along with the occasional egotistical selfie, of course.

The mechanics of a sewing machine. 2013. Pigeons & Thread.

FYI Pigeons & Thread is the fashion production studio I occasionally work at, and they are kind of made entirely out of awesome.

My mum’s sewing room has been disorganized for ages.
So then I did this.  I owned that sewing room.

SUBMISSION: “TOOLS OF IMAGINATION”

That’s my school, baby.  And most of my school friends are in this show.
(Only two weeks away: be there!)

Fifteen variations (so far).

One of my samples for my surface design class.  Discharge technique on 100% organic cotton.

I really love this design.  It was hand drawn and then exposed onto a silkscreen.  Hopefully making awesome t-shirts with it… you know, when I have time…

(note: this photo is actually not the greatest quality/representation…)

All of my letters.  All of them.

I’ve gone through them all, just looking at post marks right now (also known as “franks”); I picked out twelve really good ones (out of how many, I don’t know, I haven’t actually counted yet).  I’m going to scan them and manipulate them; for several reasons, one of them being I’m designing a tattoo to get before my 25th birthday (the end of the month!).

I’m going to get franked for my 25th.

Also, add to this collection?  My Someone to Write to project needs love.

SUBMISSION: Evolution of the floppy disk. 45-sized version, Bill Gates version, non-floppy version and modern external storage devices.

I love old computer disks.

Two down, nine to go.

Pages from my (soon to be) dye resource book.

Second dye batch!

Did I mention I’m taking a dye course this summer?
